Research Technician II/III/IV - ACI Clinical Immunology/Myositis Laboratory Core Facility

Position Overview and Responsibilities
The OMRF Clinical Immunology Laboratory within the Arthritis & Clinical Immunology Research Program is seeking a conscientious, highly motivated, organized individual at the Research Technician II, III or IV level to perform high complexity testing to detect MSA or MAA in patient samples. Duties include tissue culture, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, electrophoresis, autoradiography, result interpretation, and standard lab functions. Candidates must be able to adhere to the College of American Pathologist (CAP) guidelines and University Radioactivity guidelines.
We are seeking a highly adaptable and skilled technician to perform cross-functional duties within our Clinical Immunology/Myositis Laboratory core facility. The technician must be able to dynamically shift focus between specialized laboratory benches based on daily core facility volume and project priorities.
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the biological sciences, physics, chemistry or related area, plus minimum of two (2) years of relevant lab experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, able to meet deadlines, and work independently as well as a team player.
• Basic proficiency with computers, including internet browsing, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for documenting procedures, summarizing data, and collaborating effectively with team members and clinical clients.
• Professionalism while interacting with a diverse group of people, personalities, and cultures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience handling radioactive materials (specifically ³5S).
• Proficiency with processing, storing, and handling human samples while adhering to regulatory guidelines and SOPs.

Work Hours
Typically, Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Some schedule flexibility may be possible with prior approval.
