Our surgeons, nurses and support caregivers are committed to an exceptional level of excellence.As a Surgical Services Support Technician, you will help create a safe and sterile environment for surgical operations and other procedures. You will be exposed to the latest technologies, offering a unique opportunity to gain invaluable medical knowledge through hands-on experience.

A caregiver in this position works,2:00am-10:30pm requiring one weekend day as part of the regular schedule. Holidays are optional.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Safely transport patients todesignatedareas per nursingrequests.

• Assistnursing caregivers during surgical cases asrequested.

• Maintain and control supportservicesequipment and supplies.

• Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition.

• Enter job tasks into electronic computer software systems.

• Assistin prepping and shaving patients for surgery.

• Coordinate andmaintainuniform room activities, such as locker assignments and scrubs.

• Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste.

• Comply withspecial cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infectioncontrolsurgical cases.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Crosswithin new hire period

• One year of customer service experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including ability to lift and/or bear the weight of 100 pounds with assistance, or more while pulling, lifting, pushing and transferring patients to and from various apparatus; regularly pushes moderate to heavy weight of 100 pounds or more.

• Exposure to body fluids.

• Must be available for flexible scheduling according to the needs of the surgical area.

• Floating may be expected per assignment policies within the surgical support department.
