Description & Details:The School of Nursing at North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo invites applications and inquiries for a full-time faculty position (9-month academic year, summer teaching may be available) to support the undergraduate nursing program. This position will begin on August 16, 2026, or as negotiated.
We seek dynamic educators and clinicians with a primary specialty in medical-surgical nursing, along with complementary experience in clinical teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship. The successful candidate will support the NDSU School of Nursing's commitment to excellence, inclusion, and preparing skilled, compassionate nursing professionals to meet the healthcare needs of North Dakota and the region.
The NDSU School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited bachelor's and doctoral programs designed to prepare practice-ready nurses and nurse leaders. As our programs continue to grow, we aim to expand our capacity to produce exceptional graduates who are well-equipped to serve diverse populations and address critical workforce needs.
RESONSIBILITIES. This is a 9-month position as a core faculty member in any of our undergraduate programs, prelicensure, accelerated BSN &/or LPN-BSN. Responsibilities may include and are not limited to teaching undergraduate nursing courses and clinical (summer teaching may be available), providing academic advising and mentorship to students, serving on SON committees and contributing to shared governance. This role also includes participation in recruitment efforts, and active engagement in School of Nursing committees.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 9-month, Faculty Position
Hiring Range: $65,000-$75,000
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
An unecumbered, active RN license and eligibility for licensure in ND OR current RN license and eligibility for licensing in the state of ND
Master's degree in Nursing
Effective oral and written communication skills
Experience in medical-surgical nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree
Experience teaching in nursing education
