Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESCourse Production (50%)
Updates existing online, face-to-face, and blended course sites each semester by implementing a checklist of current design standards and Canvas functionality. Incorporates new standards and functionality according to program specifications.
Partners with the instructional design team as part of new course development. This includes preparing and refining Canvas sites, coordinating the hosting and management of media, communicating design issues to members of the team, and documenting relevant course details in the project management software. Additionally, coordinate the availability of test banks, import question pools and build custom quizzes and exams for delivery in Canvas for all courses serviced by the team.
Provide faculty consultations on the course sites and academic technology tools to enhance delivery and effectiveness on courses.
Partner with CCAPS and wider university communities of practice and work teams for optimal use and integration of academic technology resources and tools.
Contribute actively to the CCAPS instructional design team to establish and implement best practices in course delivery.
Faculty Support and Development (25%)
Provides technical and instructor support for questions and requests for help via ATD Course Assistance submissions; responds to requests, troubleshoots issues, captures relevant notes in project management system, and/or elevates the issue to the appropriate team member or department.
Support and train faculty in the use of applications relevant to their courses (e.g., Canvas, Kaltura, Zoom, etc.)
Design and develop content for faculty resources through a variety of modalities; update and maintain resources on ATD web pages.
Department and Program Support (25%)
Support ATD team in special initiatives such as process improvement projects, learning resources document implementation, file migration, or other initiatives as assigned.
Provide project leadership to internal working teams, including collaborative efforts with external teams. Evaluate workflows and process of team; schedule and direct project work.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant professional experience or a comparable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Knowledge of and interest in leading-edge academic technologies (e.g., mobile, open content, badges, etc.).
Experience with one or more education technologies including course management systems, survey and evaluation systems, student information systems, video or multimedia systems, social media platforms, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects of varying complexity and scope.
Ability to interact effectively with instructors with a wide range of knowledge and comfort levels with technology.
Experience working in a team-focused environment. Demonstrated ability to work closely with others across functional boundaries and varying experience levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with a large and diverse group of stakeholders and identify strategic needs.
Knowledgeable of digital accessibility guidelines
Knowledgeable of instructional design principles and processes
Knowledgeable of Learning Management Systems (preferably Canvas) functionality
Experience with Asana or similar project management tools.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $65,000-$70,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
