Position Summary
Responsible to the department of nursing chair for coordinating events which involve the Auto tutorial Learning Labs (ATTL). Create a learning environment conducive to practice clinical skills in a simulated setting. Monitor, maintain and facilitate use of equipment and resources in Auto tutorial Learning Labs (ATTL).

Essential Functions
Maintains open lab hours for student independent practice activities.

Monitors and facilitates student practice times and reports student activities to appropriate faculty as needed, including student ‘readiness/preparedness’ for scheduled practice lab time periods.

Serves as a role model for student nurses.

Monitors and facilitates the use of ATTL computer resources and other instructional media/ equipment.

Working with faculty and department chair annually reviews and updates SUU Dept of Nursing, Autotutorial Learning Lab Policy (Policy #5.03).

Coordinates with faculty, schedules for skills practice and validation times or other activities involving use of ATTL Lab space.

Available for coordination of resources needed for SUU Student Nurse Association activities (Service projects, Homecoming…) and any other student learning needs.

Creates a learning environment in ATTL Labs to support attainment of program outcomes for nursing students.

Develops skill critical elements. Creates practice scenarios to incorporate critical thinking skills with the psychomotor skills.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Minimum Qualifications

4 Year / Bachelors degree of Science in Nursing.

Current Utah Registered Nurse License.

Ability to interact positively with faculty, staff, and students.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work with diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous clinical nursing experience.
