Job Description
Job Summary:Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an ERP Business Systems Analyst specializing in benefits to join the Human Capital Management (HCM) team within ITS.
You will be involved in all aspects of the process, including PeopleSoft Benefits Administration module, COBRA, Billing and Remittance. Your expertise in business analysis and benefits-related systems will help maintain the benefits programs, compliance with relevant regulations, and optimize our benefits operations. You will be part of an enthusiastic and supportive team that prides itself on ensuring the highest level of accuracy and customer service to the University community. You will report to the HCM Product Manager.

This appointment may be filled at either the Senior or Intermediate (classifications within the U-M system) level depending on your qualifications and experience. The target salary range for the Senior level is $87,338 to $95,000 and for the Intermediate level is $73,600 to $82,000. Applicants with lesser experience are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and identify areas for improvement in benefit systems and processes.
Perform data analysis to ensure accurate processing of benefits enrollments, federal regulations compliance, benefits deductions, COBRA and billing.
Identify and resolve benefits-related issues, system errors, and discrepancies.
Support the processing of benefits enrollments, payroll and time collection.
Execute test plans to support infrastructure updates, software upgrades and releases.
Participate in project meetings, provide progress reports, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to benefits and HR systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience
4+ years of experience (for the Senior level) and 2+ years of experience (for the Intermediate level) as a Business Systems Analyst or related role.
Knowledge of benefits processes, systems, and regulations.
Knowledge of systems development methodologies (including waterfall and iterative approaches)
Experience with benefits systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, Oracle) is desirable.
