Position Overview:

This project manager role will support City of Hope’s strategic initiatives by managing and coordinating projects of various sizes and scales under the direction of the Cherng Family Center Director and Executive Director. Specific responsibilities partnering with assigned internal researchers and clinicians to assist them and their teams in developing project plans; managing and reporting schedules, risks and issues; leveraging standardized project management toolkits; coordinating and facilitating meetings; developing presentations, papers, grants and deliverables to support project priorities and facilitate project decisions; and ensuring aligned communication across project teams, with internal researchers, clinicians, and management.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Responsible for all phases of project management including coordination, project plan development, schedule management, risk and issue management, communications and change management for assigned projects. Has experience managing 1-2 project workstreams and 5+ project resources.

  • Produces analysis and presentations to support project priorities and facilitate project decisions
  • Adapts enterprise and external best practice tools to meet the needs of assigned projects and project leads
  • Working with the collaborators and participants to ensure prompt delivery of papers, grants and other deliverables with focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Manages relationships with researchers and clinicians to ensure collaborative progress on individual projects.
  • Exercises critical thinking and engages with all participating parties to ensure paper, grant and project deliverables.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelors in Arts/Science or related discipline

  • 2+ years of recent related industry experience

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $43.18 - $66.92 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
