The Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking board-eligible/board-certified internists and oncologists to serve as oncology hospitalists for the care of cancer patients at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Both day and night positions are available. We seek qualified applicants who embrace the clinical complexity/acuity of a tertiary/quarternary care oncologic service and are capable of guiding outstanding, humanistic, team-based care rooted in strong relationships with patients and families.
This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in multidisciplinary and collaborative environments with interests in developing a professional focus in the field of quality improvement, operational efficiency, and education in the context of a major academic medical system. This opportunity offers initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes/safety, optimizing efficiency of patient progression through hospitalization, implementing new systems and processes, and establishing consistent standards of practice in the acute care oncology setting.Â
The successful applicant will become an active member of the Department of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (and will be provided with mentorship aligned with their professional interests). Academic rank as Instructor or Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. The chosen candidate will have opportunities to oversee and teach physician learners and APPs.
Required credentials include an M.D. or D.O., and ABIM board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine or hematology/oncology. Qualified candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. J-1 visa sponsorship is not available.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidateâs relevant experience, skills and qualifications.

$275,000 - $350,000
