We are looking for a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance (QA) to head the management of the GMP Facilities at City of Hope. This role reports to the Vice President of Cell and Gene Therapy Operations (CGTO) in the Center for Bioinnovation and Manufacturing. You will be part of the GMP leadership team, that is focused on transformative change and fostering a work culture consistent with City of Hope values (including a sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, excellence, and collaboration).
COH has a mission to transform the future of cancer care. In support of this mission, COH has over 20+ years of experience in GMP production holding >120 active INDs and supported by a 100+ person GMP team. The successful candidate will oversee a team of that supports all aspects of three GMP facilities: two focused on Cell and Gene therapies and one focused on Chemical Synthesis. In addition, the role includes overseeing all aspects of materials management. Additional responsibilities might be to oversee an MSAT team.
As a successful candidate you will:
· Oversee day to day activities related to facility and support as needed to ensure smooth operation of facilities and GMP manufacturing activities.
· Oversee the receiving, acceptance, handling, and storing of materials in accordance with established policies.
· In collaboration with manufacturing teams, develop raw material standards to ensure suitability for use in GMP manufacturing.
· Develop quality/KPI metrics reflecting facility engineering and logistics/supply chain.
· Drive continuous improvement by establishing more efficient/effective processes.
· Implement and maintain databases and software related to materials, equipment, and
· Recruit, train, and mentor team members.
· Lead regular meetings with staff to review workload productivity, discuss and mentor staff through current tasks, problems and potential areas of concern.
· Liaise with key stakeholders, including but not limited manufacturing, quality control, regulatory affairs personnel, internal investigators, and external collaborators.
Your qualifications should include:
· Master’s degree in scientific or engineering discipline or related field. PhD in scientific or engineering discipline preferred. A Bachelors degree with additional direct years of experience may substitute for Master’s requirement.
· 5+ years of experience in QA, manufacturing or related field with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
· Experience in GMP facility management
· Working knowledge of QA requirements of raw material management

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $61.23 - $102.25 / hour
