Job Summary:

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join the Student Administration Team within ITS. You will provide expertise and functional support for Classroom and Event Scheduling software. You will assist schools and colleges on campus, providing exceptional customer service as they implement and use the classroom scheduling tool. You will report to the Series25 Service Manager on the Student Administration Systems team.

We offer fully remote, hybrid or on-site (Ann Arbor, MI) work options as long as you reside full-time in the United States. May also require working occasionally during non-business hours. The requirements listed reflect the Intermediate level expectations (classification within the U of M system).

Responsibilities:

Develop and share expertise in Classroom and Event Scheduling software to support campus customers and your team
Enter and maintain data within the software, including campus resources and locations, end users, security, etc.
Assist in developing and documenting best practices for users of the software
Work with customers to gather requirements for changes to business processes and information systems
Analyze business and user needs; document functional requirements; identify and resolve dependency and integration issues
Develop and document designs for new and existing applications; identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements
Execute test plans to support infrastructure, software upgrades and releases
Provide daily operations and support for applications, evaluate problems and determine priority of responding and follow up with customers on requests
Provide exemplary customer service
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of experience in a related role
Demonstrated skills in business process and systems analysis, design and system testing
Investigative skills, including the ability to research new tools, processes, and options
Desired Qualifications:

Experience with CollegeNet Series25 (25Live, Schedule25, X25) preferred; experience with classroom scheduling software or similar resource management tools
Understanding of course and class scheduling and other curriculum management tasks
Experience with service development, operational support and system administration
Experience working with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and/or M-Pathways Student Administration or experience with other academic records systems, such as Banner
Understanding of student related processes and/or experience working in Higher Education
Knowledge of systems development methodologies (including waterfall and iterative approaches)
Demonstrated skills in SQL-based query tools
Understanding of relational databases
