Summary
The Business Analyst, Annual Programs will work closely with other development staff to assist and support the comprehensive fund-raising programs of Michigan Medicine. The Business Analyst will assist in the development, coordination, and analysis of the marketing portion of the comprehensive fundraising communication strategies and overall program diagnostics. Through significant partnerships within Michigan Medicine Office of Development and the Office of University Development, this position supports the mission of Michigan Medicine. This position will be responsible for project management, will create and manage marketing efforts (mass communications) within the Blackbaud CRM (DART), and analyze and report on marketing effort success using various tools and techniques. This position may be responsible for defined parts of small projects or phases of larger projects.

Responsibilities*
60% DART Marketing Effort Implementation and Management

Create DART marketing efforts per client specifications and timelines.
Evaluate complex requests to determine best method for data retrieval and integration in DART and external systems.
Develop and execute complex queries and programmatic logic to integrate DART specific export data and externally processed export data.
Assist in creation and management of the online giving links and sites for all departments, centers, and units.
25% Reporting, Data Delivery & Process Automation

Create and use Business Objects and Tableau reports to be able to fulfil data analytics needs per client specifications and timelines.
Develop and execute complex queries using a variety of technical tools, reports or programs to perform data analysis and record reconciliation.
Assist annual giving and other teams in analyzing program performance.
Assist in data cleanup projects.
10% Project Management

Respond to customer inquiries and track project status.
Provide analytical and technical consulting to a variety of end users, technical staff and external vendors; resolution of complex data or application problems.
Provide expertise and suggestions to clients on how best to accomplish the goals for their project(s) when warranted or requested.
5% Other

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Intermediate: Two to three years of experience working with technology in a complex systems environment.
Senior: At least 4 years of experience working with technology in a complex systems environment.
Strong understanding of data and information management principles.
Excellent skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.).
Experience in using databases and creating and generating reports.
Must be self-motivated, highly dependable independent worker with the ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize work and problem solve without direct supervision.
Excellent organizational skills.
Exceptional verbal and written skills.
Strong commitment to philanthropy at Michigan Medicine.
A high level of discretion and confidentiality while interact-acting with donors, Michigan Medicine Leadership and staff.
Desired Qualifications*
Basic working knowledge Business Objects and Blackbaud CRM (DART).
Basic working knowledge of Tableau software and data visualization best practices.
Basic working knowledge of the University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine organizational structures, culture, operations and procedures.
Familiarity with the operation of annual giving programs within a university setting.
