Responsibilities
This person is expected to perform routine laboratory procedures according to standardized protocols and report results. She/He receives detailed instructions on assignments and regular supervision. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn immunology and molecular biology. It also allows the individual to gain experience in general lab management.

Responsibilities to include:

-Making common buffer/solutions and maintaining lab stocks of chemicals

-Basic cell culture procedures

-Basic ELISA procedures

-Basic molecular biology procedures (miniprep/maxiprep/agarose gels)

-Filling/autoclaving tip boxes

-Handling and cataloging clinical samples such as human blood/plasma/serum

-Purification of proteins produced in E. Coli or mammalian cell lines



Qualifications
Excellent organization skills. Must be team oriented, personable, and able to deal with diverse personalities. Must be able to take direction, follow instructions and keep meticulous records. Must be reliable and self-driven with a high attention to detail. Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
