Responsibilities
The James lab is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to contribute to projects investigating immune cell responses and viral proteins in health and in autoimmune diseases. Duties will include basic immunology, cell and molecular biology techniques, such as ELISAs, Western blotting, flow cytometry, processing of blood samples, cell culture, isolation of DNA/RNA, and PCR.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in one of the biological sciences, chemistry, physics, biomedical engineering or related area. Plus one year of lab experience. Must have effective communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Must be motivated, conscientious, and highly dependable. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and protocols/procedures, and to write routine reports and correspondence. Should be familiar with standard lab techniques. Must be able to work with minimal instruction on routine work.
